FAYETTEVILLE — Courtney Rose Tallmadge and Jacob Benjamin Johnson were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at the home of the bridegroom’s parents with Dan Carson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Linda and Ed Tallmadge of Waldron. She is the granddaughter of Jewell and W. J. Jones, also of Waldron, and Trudy and Quentin Tallmadge of Boles.

The bridegroom is the son of Joan and Bruce Johnson of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Dr. Albert and the late Mary Jane Johnson of Austin, Texas, and the late Carolyn and Burgess Hudson of Fort Worth.

The couple were married beneath a wrought-iron arch decorated by ivy, tulle, ribbons and red, pink and orange roses. Nuptial music was provided by a string quartet led by Babette Allen.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore her mother’s ivory strapless vintage gown featuring antique lace and a full skirt. The gown fell into a chapel-length train. She wore a two-tiered, fingertip-length veil of ivory with a pencil edge and beaded flower embroidery. She carried a hand-tied cluster of hot pink, classic red and Naranga orange roses.

Amber Tallmadge of Fayetteville was her sister’s maid of honor, and Brandi Caire of Bentonville was the bridesmaid.

The maid of honor wore a sleeveless full-length chiffon gown in rose with a charmeuse rounded neckline and a sash at the waist. The bridesmaid wore a full-length Nu-Georgette gown with an Empire waist and shirred bodice. They carried handtied bouquets of hot pink and classic red roses and orange asiatic lilies.

Niece of the bride Caroline Tallmadge of Fayetteville was the flower girl. Ring bearers were nephew of the bride Jonas Tallmadge and nephew of the bridegroom Gage Johnson, both also of Fayetteville.

Jesse Smyers of Fayetteville served as best man. Brother of the bridegroom Jesse Johnson, also of Fayetteville, was the groomsman.

Helping to seat the guests were Alaya Rahm of Fayetteville and Tony Caire of Bentonville.

A reception followed under a tent at the same locale. Tables were decorated with ivory cloths and small, glass vases filled with red, orange and pink roses.

Reception music was by a disc jockey. Kathy Hudson assisted.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas and is a clinical liaison with Regency Hospital Co. of Northwest Arkansas.

The bridegroom is a regional sales manager for White River Hardwoods in Fayetteville.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Fayetteville.
