BETHEL HEIGHTS

Helen Crew Goeller Bivins, 103, of Bethel Heights and Bella Vista died Thursday in Bella Vista. She was born July 24, 1904, near Salem, Iowa, to Maggie and George Way. She was a homemaker. She attended Gospel of Peace Church in Springdale. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Goeller; her second husband, Bill Bivins; a stepson, Michael Bivins; a sister Georgie Klingenberg; and two brothers, Bill Way and Harold Way. Survivors include two daughters, Helen Murphy of Bethel Heights and Sally Furman of Bella Vista; five grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. FAYETTEVILLE

Donald Linn, 67, of Fayetteville died Friday in Fayetteville. He was born June 29, 1940, in Harrison to A. P. and Emma Miller Linn. He was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Visitation is 6-8 p. m. Monday at Westfield Chapel in Springdale. Service is 10 a. m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Head officiating. FAYETTEVILLE

Ada Ethel Long, 90, of Fayetteville died Friday at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born June 11, 1917, in Health to Tommy and Maggie Barker Wilson. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Long; three brothers, Harold Wilson, Richard Wilson and Albert Wilson; two sisters, Anna Bowles and Bertha Shepherd; and two great-grandsons.

Survivors include three sons, Bill Long of Rogers, Bobby Long of Siloam Springs and Ronnie Long of Bentonville; three daughters, Rose Woods and Louise Dunham, both of Rogers, and Kay Farmer of Hominy, Okla.; two brothers, Bert Wilson of Goshen and Marion Wilson of Alabama; a sister, Margie Shepherd of Hindsville; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 4-6 p. m. Monday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.

Service is 2 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with Brother Eldon home officiating. Burial is in White House Cemetery in Washington County.

Christine Tomlinson, 78, of Fayetteville died Saturday in Fayetteville. Arrangements will be announced by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.

Sarah McDermid, 71, of Lincoln died April 26 in Lincoln. She was born June 8, 1936, in Theresa, N. Y., to Walter and Lorraine Goodenough Tibbles. Survivors include a son, Vance Walter McDermid; three daughters, Candy Tibbles of New York; Billie Joe Kerwin of Siloam Springs and Edith Bush of Fairmont, W. Va.; four sisters, Ethel Teeter of Lincoln, Mayferd Rogers of Rosie, N. Y., Edith Brassard of Therese, N. Y., and Kietha Forney of Evans Mills, N. Y.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Eliana Stephanie Chacon, 15, of Siloam Springs died Friday at her home.

She was born June 13, 1992, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Eliseo Chacon and Margarita Rodriguez.

She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

Survivors include her parents; two brothers, Daniel Chacon and Edwin Chacon; and her grandparents.

Service is 2-4 p. m. today at Seventh-day Adventist Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla., with Pastor Andres Portes officiating.

Burial is private.

Tibon Leban Sekesa, 51, of Springdale died Thursday in Springdale. She was born June 18, 1956, in the Marshall Islands to Chair Leban and Timoj Toreland Leban. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband, Watto Sekesa; a son, Sekesa Sekesa of Springdale; four daughters, Anthina Sekesa, Jolynn Sekesa and Vioma Sekesa, all of Springdale, and Helbine Sekesa of the Marshall Islands; several brothers and sisters; and six grandchildren. Visitation is 10 a. m.-2 p. m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springdale. Service is 2 p. m. Monday at the church with Bishop Leon Lieutard officiating. CARTHAGE, MO.

James Darrell “J. D.” Kirk, 84, of Carthage, Mo., formerly of Siloam Springs, died Friday at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

He was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Gentry to Martin L. and Josephine Kirk.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as sergeant in the 12th Army Group in Europe and in Headquarters Company 5421 in Korea. He taught high school science in Gentry, and Camdenton and Carthage, Mo. He owned and operated a television sales business in Siloam Springs. He taught the carpentry trade by buying and fixing up houses. He was a Southern Baptist.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include a son, James D. Kirk Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Hopping of Bentonville; a brother, M. C. Kirk of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is noon-6 p. m. today at Ulmer Funeral Home of Carthage, Mo.

Service is 2 p. m. Monday at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry with Pastor Jim Whisenant officiating.

FAYETTEVILLE

Gladys Cox, 86, of Fayetteville died Friday, May 2, 2008, in Conway, Ark. She was born July 28, l 921, in Sunset, Ark., the daughter of Jack H. and Gertie L. Evans Davis. She baby-sat many children who knew her as “Granny Cox,” and she loved them all. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cox, who died March 30, 1998.

She is survived by two daughters: Linda Cox Watson and husband Col. John, U. S. M. C. retired, of Jacksonville, Fla., Trella Cox Nabholz and husband Eddie of Conway, Ark.; two brothers, Eldon Davis of Patrick, Ark., Weldon “Sonny” Davis of Round Mountain Community; four sisters: Mary Bunch Dennis of Fayetteville, Ark., Jerryldene Payton of Fayetteville, Ark., Carmel Elkins of Wichita, Kan., Flo Taber of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchildren, Sheri Arceo and husband Ernesto of Jacksonville, Fla., Anna Nabholz and Rachael Nabolz of Conway, Ark., five great-grandchildren: Jeremiah, Daniel, Anastasia, Felicia and Max Arceo, all of Jacksonville, Fla.
