FAYETTEVILLE

Dolores M. Williams, 73, of Fayetteville died Monday at her home.

She was born April 3, 1935, in Springfield, Mo., to Charles and Edna Barrick.

She was a retired physical therapist for Washington Regional Medical Center and a member of Fellowship of the Hills Church.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Williams of Prosper, Texas, and Marty Williams and Scott Williams, both of Fayetteville; a daughter, Becky Williams of Fayetteville; her mother of Springdale; a brother, Wendell Barrick of Neosho, Mo.; a sister, Lois Wallace of Springdale; seven grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild.

Service is 2 p. m. Thursday at Fellowship of the Hills Church with T. Scott Williams officiating.

Burial is in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.

ROGERS

Ethel I. Stapleton, 82, of Rogers died Monday in Fayetteville.

She was born July 19, 1925, in Tyler, Texas, to William and Ethel Boatright Van-Houten.

She was retired from Crane Co. and was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Haskell Stapleton and Charles Wilson; a daughter, Betty Jean Hudson; two brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Self of Rogers and Larry Wilson of Fayetteville; a daughter, Mary Baxter of West Lafayette, Ind.; two sisters, Lela Mae Miles of Oklahoma City and Betty Wade of Texas; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

Visitation is 5-7 p. m. Wednesday at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

Service is 10 a. m. Thursday at Sunnyside Baptist Church with Jim Bland officiating.

Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Avoca.

SILOAM SPRINGS

Beryl Perry, 88, of Siloam Springs died Friday at his home. He was born April 9, 1920, in Geary County, Kan., to William and Etta Dempsy Perry. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was a retired salesman for Munns Medical Supply Equipment in Dodge City, Kan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erlene Walker Perry; a daughter, Lana Johnson; two brothers; and a grandson. Survivors include a son, Dallas Perry of Rogers; a daughter, Shereen West of Siloam Springs; a brother, Wayne Perry of Salina, Kan.; two sisters, Bonnie Knapp and Elaine Bethe, both of Salina, Kan.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. COLCORD, OKLA.

Jessie Fay Adams, 57, of Colcord, Okla., died Sunday at her home. She was born Feb. 5, 1951, in Aurora, Mo., to Floyd Albert Wood and Kathleen Mary Branham. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Storkson of Cherokee City, William Storkson of Pawhuska, Okla., and Frank Storkson of St. Louis; five daughters, Judy Becker of Medicine Lodge, Kan., Mary Philpott and Cathy Mitchell, both of Colcord, and Tammy Cook and Doris Robinson, both of Siloam Springs; three brothers, Otis Gatewood of Stotts City, Mo., Benny Wood of Aurora, Mo., and Henry Wood of California; a sister, Janette Wood of California; and 26 grandchildren.

Visitation is 6-8 p. m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Service is 3 p. m. Wednesday at Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City with Chaplain Darwin King and Joy Harper officiating.

FAYETTEVILLE

Leon Joseph “Joe” Rosenberg of Fayetteville, Ark., died May 4, 2008. He was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Atlanta, Ga., to Harry Manville Rosenberg and Gertrude Hassenbusch Rosenberg. He earned a B. S. degree from Georgia Tech, a M. S. at Columbia University Business School and a Ph. D. at the Graduate Business School, New York University.

He joined the U. S. Army in 1940 and retired from active duty in 1946 with the rank of captain. Dr. Rosenberg worked for the Federated Stores in Cincinnati and was transferred to Sanger Harris, Dallas, Texas, in 1952 and worked there until 1967. He was chairperson of the research committee Dallas Chamber of Commerce 1960-1962 and President of Jewish Family service of Dallas 1960-1962. For many years, he was a director of the New Orleans Jewish Children’s Regional Services.

He joined the marketing department of the Sam M. Walton College of Business, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1967 and retired as professor emeritus in 1989. He wrote two books, Sanger’s Pioneer Texas Merchants and Dillard’s, The First Fifty Years. He served on the board of the American Cancer Society of Fayetteville from 1979-1986, serving as president 1983-1984.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phylis Israel Rosenberg, and his sister, Marian Eisenberg. He is survived by his wife, Louise Nachman Rosenberg; daughter, Joanne Rosenberg Larson and husband Mark of Plano, Texas; son, Paul Harvey Rosenberg and wife Andrea of Englewood Colo.; stepchildren, Nancy Ray, Jack Mayer and Lawrence Mayer; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Eleanor Bernhardt of Atlanta, Ga. Graveside services will be held at Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, May 7 at 10 a. m., Rabbi Oren Hayon officiating. A memorial service will be held at 11 a. m. in the convocation room at Butterfield Trails Village, 1923 E. Joyce Blvd. in Fayetteville. Memorials can be made to Temple Shalom Fayetteville, P. O. HARRISON

Hazel Ryan, 91, died Saturday. Visitation tonight 6-8 p. m. Funeral 10 a. m. Wednesday at Holt Memorial Chapel. Survivors son, Arch Ryan and wife, Meredith; daughter, Patsy McBee and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Steve, Dickie, Jim and John McBee and Jeff Ryan; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Nixon and wife, Barbara.
