Nation's sins the real problem

I heard about an activist group that is going around praying at different gas pumps for lower gas prices. I do believe in prayer, and I know that God answers prayers, and I sure would like to have lower gas prices. But the problem we are facing is not high gas prices. The problem is the sin of our nation.

Of all of the millions of good, honest, upstanding and able people in our great nation, why in the world are we voting on these three candidates for president ? That very fact gives a clear indication of where we are and the trouble we are in.

While praying for gas prices, let's pray for the sin of our nation. We have turned our backs on the very one who made us, the only one who can help us. God is the only hope we have. I like to read the Psalms - Psalm 11 is a good one to read. David knew trouble, and David knew where to find help. I pray that our nation will repent and turn to God. I know many of you are praying also. Don't give up. Persevere. God is in his holy temple, his throne is in heaven, and he does hear when his people pray. Best of all, God does love us.
