Come join us on Monday and become a "History Detective; "the Rogers Historical Museum will be here to bring a new and interesting program.

Students will learn how to use primary source documents and historical objects as tools to discover the past. The fact that "old stuff"can tell us much about the people that used it will be emphasized. Observation skills will be developed, in part, by employing trash-box archeology.

Learning objectives Students will learn to identify primary and secondary sources.

Students will examine a variety of primary source documents and historical objects to answer questions about family life of long ago.

Students will combine historical methodology, evaluation of evidence, checking credibility of sources, and weighing evidence in order to understand the difference between fact and opinion in Arkansas history and culture.

On another note, please don't forget that April will be our fundraising push month, and we are really in a crunch. If you make charitable donations at some point each year, April would be a great point, this year. Remember that our programs are not free, and without local donations our center cannot continue to meet the future needs. Your donations will help me to raise the $ 173, 820. 00 required of this center this year; and you can imagine how gas prices and inflation have played a part in creating this crisis. Forty percent of the budgetary responsibility lies within local funding; our constant fundraising events, grant opportunities, United Way assistance and you. Please help me in continuing to try and fight the good fight. Have a Blessed Week !!!!
