Bentonville

Jerry Lloyd David, 69, of Bentonville, Ark., died Friday, May 9, 2008, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He was born Oct. 22, 1938, in the Mundell, Ark., community to Jerry M. David and Gertrude Marie David.

He served in the U. S. Navy. He was a retired printer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin David, Edgar David and Clifford David; four sisters, Dorthea Kelsay, Bonnie Mayfield, Ruth David and Julia Hines.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia David; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry L. David Jr. and Pam David, and Jeffrie A. David and Penny David, all of Rogers, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer S. Sharp and David Sharp of Bentonville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Louise Fine and Denver Fine of Idaho and Eva Birchfield of South Dakota; and six grandchildren, Kevin Miller, Danielle David, Justin David, Tayler David, Sam David and Haley Sharp.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, at the Ruddick Cemetery near Garfield, Ark.

Memorials may be made to the Ruddick Cemetery Fund.

Kay Louise Wanasek, 66, of Bentonville, Ark., died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at Bradford House Nursing Home, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born Jan. 13, 1942, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Harold Scott and Betty Collins Scott.

She grew up in the Burrton, Kan., area and attended Hutchinson Community College and Southwestern College. She worked for many years at Ward-Kraft in Fort Scott, Kan., as a typesetter, then for R. L. Polk in Hutchinson as a typesetter. She was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church. After moving to Rogers, Ark., she was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Rogers. She was a Cub Scout leader and Sunday school teacher in Fort Scott for many years.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Scott Wanasek and Linda Wanasek of Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Aimee Wanasek-Forcum and Destry Forcum of Kingman, Kan.; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Scott and Bill Scott of Tecumseh, Kan.; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger Scott and Janet Scott of Hutchinson, Kan.; a friend, Bob Miller of Medicine Lodge, Kan.; her roommate and friend, Wilma Allen of Bentonville; and six grandchildren, Natalee Wanasek, Alec Wanasek, Jennifer Hawthorne and Jayson Hawthorne, all of Arkansas, and Gunner Forcum and Gabriella Kay Forcum, both of Kingman. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, at the Burrton Cemetery in Burrton, Kan. Arrangements are by the Benton County Funeral Home in downtown Rogers, Ark. Patricia Bland, 77, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, May 9, 2008, in Rogers. Arrangements are pending with Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Kathleen O'Brien, 90, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, May 5, 2008. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers.

JoAnn Simons, 69, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, May 4, 2008. A tribute of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the home of Don Simons, 8083 Elm Lane in Rogers.

Linda Jean White, 61, of Springdale, Ark., died Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Bentonville Cemetery in Bentonville, Ark.

Steve Young, 49, of Decatur, Ark., died Monday, May 5, 2008. A celebration of life will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at his home in Decatur. Tomorrow

Emogene Jewel Lewis, 84, of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, May 5, 2008. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at the Elmira Cemetery in Elmira, Mo. A viewing will precede the service.
