Paid obituary : Lenore Marion Richey

Bentonville Lenore Marion Richey of Rogers, Ark., went to be with the Lord Friday, May 9, 2008. She was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Mooreville, Mississippi to Henry Coyt Marion and Mattie Ann Whiteside.
Preceding Mrs. Richey in their final journey were her husband, Dr. Dale James Richey, a Professor of Microbiology at the University of Georgia; her daughter, Karen Richey; and son, Peter Richey.
Survivors include her son Jan Richey and wife Becca, grandchildren Anna (Brian ) Thiele and Matthew (Cindy ) Richey, greatgrandson Everett Richey, her son Rodny Richey and wife Faye, granddaughter, Kelly Richey, and her sonin-law George White of Rogers, Ark.
Mrs. Richey earned her master's degree in Library Science and was a librarian at the University of Georgia.
She was active for over thirty years in the Friendship Presbyterian Church in Athens, Ga., where she served as an Elder. In her late 60 's, Mrs. Richey spent four years in Nigeria with SIM on an interdenominational missionary team.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 4 PM at the Holiday Island Presbyterian Church, the Reverend Miss Clare Kelley officiating. A graveside memorial service will take place Saturday May 17 th at 2 PM at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Athens, Ga. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial gifts to Serving In Mission," Lenore Richey Memorial Fund," Nigeria St., Sebring, Fla.
Arrangements are being handled by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.
