BENTON COUNTY - A Pea Ridge man is making a name for himself in the banking industry using the latest technology.
Jason Van Dyke, a loan officer for IndyMac Bank, was awarded the top honor of securing the most loan applications online for his company. Van Dyke works out of Rogers.
According to representatives of the Retail Lending Group of the seventh-largest savings and loan and the second-largest independent mortgage lender in the nation, Van Dyke has garnered the most online applications in the company's history in a two-month period. Working with realtors and consumers, he offers a regular e-mail newsletter and his Web site at http: // jvandyke. imbhomelending. com / Default. aspx.
"He is an integral part of Indymac's success in the retail lending industry," said Ron Stellmaker, vice president, Indymac Bank Retail Lending Group. "Specializing in conventional mortgages, refinance, first-time home buyers, Federal Housing Administration and jumbo loan financing, Mr. Van Dyke is able to offer a wealth of information at no direct cost to our customers."
Van Dyke covers Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville, and can be reached at 621-5682.
"Just like online banking and bill pay, people enjoy being able to take care of finances when their schedule allows," Van Dyke said. "Not many people can or want to spend their lunch hour meeting with a lender, and my goal is to give my customers a flexible schedule to make one of the most important decisions in their lives - buying a home. By utilizing an online-based service platform, I can easily and quickly address the everchanging needs of my clients, while ensuring that they make an educated choice on a home loan."
Van Dyke, a native of Russellville, attended his first year of college at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., on a golf scholarship. He then transferred to the University of Arkansas, where he graduated with a degree in advertising, public relations / journalism. He and his wife, Nikki, reside in Pea Ridge, where they moved to 2006.
Van Dyke is the president of the Pea Ridge Optimist Club and is chairman of the Pea Ridge Golf Classic.
Indymac's Retail Lending Group is in the business of originating mortgage loans for customers through field retail loan offices. The group has 170 retail mortgage loan offices in 29 states and employs more than 1, 400 sales staff and nearly 400 operations, marketing and other associates.
