Author Sparks to speak in Rogers

ROGERS - Best-selling author Nicholas Sparks will be featured at the Rogers Public Library Foundation's fall "Conversations With"series.

Sparks is the author of the No. 1 New York Times bestsellers "The Choice, " "Dear John, " "At First Sight, " "True Believer, " "The Rescue, " "Nights in Rodanthe, " "The Notebook, " "Message in a Bottle, " "A Walk to Remember, " "A Bend in the Road, " "The Guardian, " "The Wedding," and his memoir "Three Weeks with My Brother," written with his brother, Micah.

"We are thrilled to be able to bring an author of this caliber to northwest Arkansas," said Jeremy Cox, president of the Foundation. "I'm also really excited about giving students the chance to learn from a respected author like Mr. Sparks."

Sparks is to appear at three events in Rogers on Oct. 10-11 - a seminar for high school creative writing students, a private reception at the Rogers Public Library and a ticketed event at the Embassy Suites.

The author series hosted Homer Hickam in the fall of 2007, which kicked off the annual event.
