EDITORIALS : For Robin Green

As Benton County has grown and changed, so has its criminal element - and there are few people more familiar with the evolution of crime and justice in the county than Benton County Attorney Robin Green.
She's our choice for Division 1 circuit judge.
Granted, experience isn't everything, in this or any other race. But Green's history of service - as county attorney, deputy prosecutor and prosecutor - is exceptional, and long-range perspective like hers is a valuable asset.
Her opponent, Jim Johnson, is by no means a judicial novice. He brings a wealth of diverse experience to the race.
But Green's experience and institutional knowledge are such that she is easily the best choice to replace the retiring Tom Keith. In fact, it would be a shame if voters let this opportunity slip away.
