‘Show Your Ride’ car show planned

The show, featuring cars, motorcycles, trucks and off-road vehicles, will be held in the city park and is sponsored by the Gentry Fire Department. Proceeds raised from the show will be used to benefit the department.
A kidsí division for those 15 and under will include a contest for the bestdecorated bicycle. A model car division is also on the showís agenda. No entry fee is required for the childrenís contests.
Prizes and trophies will be awarded to winners.
The worldís fastest jet fire truck, ì Firestorm, î will be on display and rides will be given.
The show, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, is being held in conjunction with other fall festival activities, including an evening Ty Herndon concert, led off with a performance by Arkansas singer Kyla Horton.

Entry forms must be postmarked by Sept. 11. Those entering the auto show will receive a T-shirt and dash plaque.
