Colcord, Okla.

Roy Len Wheeler, 72, of Colcord, Okla., died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation in Siloam Springs, Ark.

He was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Arkansas City, Kan., to George Wheeler and Sarah Wheeler. He married Barbara Lene De-Moss on Aug. 10, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He moved to the Colcord area in 1975 from Edmond, Okla., and was a scale operator for Peterson Industries in Decatur, Ark. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wheeler; two daughters, Sherrill Wheeler and Gaylene Jordan, both of Colcord; a sister, Edith Markey of Kansas; a half brother, Butch Wheeler of Kansas; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 12, at the Wasson Memorial Chapel with Larry Ellis and Greg Baskin officiating. Burial was at the Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, Ark. Online condolences may be made at www. wassonfuneralhome. com.

Siloam Springs

Lucile Paul, 77, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died July 8, 2008 at her home.

Born Oct. 20, 1930 in Saginaw, Mo., she was the daughter of Floyd Cochran and Ida Mae Michaels Cochran. She graduated from Southwest Baptist University with an associate’s degree and from Missouri Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in education. Lucile was a math teacher at the Carl Junction Elementary School and retired from teaching after twenty years. She was a member of the Siloam Springs Garden Club and the Siloam Springs Bridge Club. Lucile created the library at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Finis Cochran. Survivors include four daughters, Angela Meador and husband Michael of Joplin, Mo., Lydia Paul of Kansas City, Mo., Beth Dollman of Joplin, Mo., Valerie Wilson and husband Michael of Rogers, Ark.; one son, Tom Paul and wife Jan of Carl Junction, Mo; one brother, Walter Cochran and wife Gail of Nevada, Mo,; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2 p. m., Thursday, July 17, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Dick Mc-Cartney officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Library Fund, 2000 Dawn Hill Road, Siloam Springs, AR 72761.
