Events and Activities Officials will honor Dr Noah Fields Drake during a ceremony at 1: 15 p. m. today in the lobby of the terminal at Fayetteville Executive Airport, Drake Field. The event will honor Drake for his accomplishments and contributions to Fayetteville. He was a developer and city alderman and organized the company that built the swimming pool at Wilson Park. He also helped the city purchase land for an airport. Drake’s grandchildren Lynn Fields Wade and Mary Sue Wade Colwell will attend the ceremony. The public is invited.

The University of Arkansas Intramural / Recreational Sports Program and Fayetteville Parks and Recreation employees will celebrate Bike to Work Day on Friday. Participants can join the event by meeting at 7 a. m. at Jammin’ Java on the Fayetteville Square before biking to work.

A family benefit yard sale will be held from 8 a. m. to 1 p. m. Saturday at 2939 Bermuda Ave. in Fayetteville. Proceeds will benefit a local family with a child with cancer. The third annual West Fork Watershed Celebration will be held Saturday at Riverside Park as part of a group activity to clean up the West Fork of the White River. Volunteers are needed.
