Road Closings
Douglas Street, between Garland and Oakland avenues, will be closed until the end of December for utility work. This is part of the Garland Center project, composed of the new University of Arkansas Bookstore, 20,000 square feet of retail space and a 1,500-space parking garage. Lindell Avenue, between Douglas and Cleveland streets, will also be closed except to residents.
Events and Activities
A grant application workshop will be held at 10 a.m. today at Washington County Courthouse, 280 N. College Ave., Fayetteville. Grants administered by the following six state agencies will be discussed: the Community Resource Group, the Arkansas Department of Rural Services, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, the Delta Regional Authority, the Arkansas Natural Resource Commission and the Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Community Facilities Program.
