LEGION TRYOUTS
• American Legion Baseball tryouts for the Lindsey Dodgers and the Basic Block Braves will be held on Tuesday, May 20 at 4 p. m. Tryouts will be held at the Fayetteville High School baseball field. For questions contact Ashley Patrick at 957-4685.
FAYRO CHARITY CLASSIC
• The Rotary Club of Fayetteville will host the eighth annual FayRo Charity Classic Girls Softball Tournament on June 13-15 at the Gary Hampton Softball Complex and Lake Fayetteville Park in Fayetteville and at the J. B. Hunt Complex in Springdale. Championship games will be played at Lady’Back Yard on the University of Arkansas campus. Team divisions include 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under, and 18 and under fast-pitch. Three game minimum. Entry fee per team is $ 200 for the USSSA Sanctioned NIT tournament. All net proceeds from the tournament will go to charity. LADY’BACK HOOPS CAMPS
• The Arkansas Lady Razorback basketball camps will will throughout the summer: Team Camp (June 8-10 ), Individual Camp (June 10-12 ), Lil’Back Camp (June 11-13 ), Position Camp (June 25-27 ), Position II Camp (July 18-19 ), Shooting Camp (July 25 ). UA HOOPS CAMPS
• Arkansas coach John Pelphrey will be holding his basketball camps in Bud Walton Arena at the University of Arkansas. Overnight Camp is scheduled for June 22-25 and is for grades 5-12. Cost for overnight campers is $ 325 and cost for commuters is $ 275. Skills Camp is scheduled for June 30-July 3. Grades 1-4 will run from 9 a. m.-noon and is $ 135. FARMINGTON HOOPS CAMP
• The Farmington High School Basketball coaching staff is holding an after-school youth basketball camp during the last few weeks of school. The girls session will be held May 19-22, 3: 30-5: 30 p. m., at the Farmington High School Gym. The boys session will be held May 27-30. All children in grades K-6 are invited. Skills such as ball-handling, shooting, passing, and defensive positioning will be taught. Cost is $ 35 per camper. For more information or for pre-registration call coach Beau Thompson at 738-7859.
FHS BASKETBALL CAMP
• The Fayetteville Bulldog Basketball Camp will be held June 9-12 from 9 a. m.-11: 30 a. m. at the FHS gym for any boy or girl in grades 1-9. Campers will be separated according to age, size and skill level. The major emphasis of the camp will be on the fundamentals of basketball, especially shooting technique and form. Cost is $ 60.
