Fayetteville
Helen Harvey Bass, 90, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Fayetteville Health and Rehab. She was born Aug. 22, 1917, in St. Paul to George Hudson and Dorothy Lucille Griffith Myers. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Harvey and Bill Bass. Survivors include two sons, Gary Harvey and Winston Harvey, both of Fayetteville; a stepdaughter, Wanda Vest of Homerville, Ga.; six grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren. Private services will be held with burial in Fairview Memorial Gardens with Brother Travis Wollenberg officiating. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association for Research, 1125 N. Springdale
Jack A. Foust, 74, of Springdale died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
He was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Sonora to Terry and Bertha Blackburn Foust. Jack was a mail carrier for the U. S. Post Office, where he retired in 1990. He served in the United States Navy. He loved fishing and helping others and was a positive with all who came in contact with him.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jackie Sue Foust, and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Foust of the home, to whom he married Dec. 19, 1954; one son, David Foust and wife Pearl of Bentonville; one daughter, Carol and sonin-law, Dusty McJunkin, of Wheeler; one grandson, Justin Parker of Springdale; and two great-granddaughters, Madelyn and Kaitlyn Parker. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sonora Cemetery.

Bentonville
Emogene Jewel Lewis, 84, of Bentonville died Monday, May 5, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Greencastle, Mo., to Carl Ercell and Bessie Smith Scobee. She was a longtime employee of Mutual of Omaha Life Insurance Co. and was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Thomas Lewis Sr.; and two sons, Dannie Skinner and Bill McKee.
Survivors include a son, Michael McKee of Hartsburg, Mo.; a daughter, Vickie Cornish of Bentonville; two brothers, Rosen Scobee of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Charles Scobee of Lawson, Mo.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. today with the family present from 6: 30 p.m. at Stockdale Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will follow with Deacon John Pate officiating.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Elmira Cemetery in Elmira, Mo., with Monsignor Cauldwell officiating.

Gold Canyon, Ariz.
Helen "Helinda"Murphy, 75, of Gold Canyon, Ariz., died Sunday, May 4, 2008.
She was born March 16, 1933, in Russellville to Clomer and Anna E. Reynolds Linker. She was a homemaker and a member of Tulsa Baptist Temple in Tulsa, Okla.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Murphy of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; a son, David Murphy of Mesa, Ariz.; two daughters, Pamela Murphy of Gold Canyon, Ariz., and Diann Murphy of Fenwick Island, Del.; a sister, Chrystal Wortham of Little Rock; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
