Fayetteville

David Scott Leffler, 53, of Fayetteville died Sunday, May 4, 2008, in Springdale. He was born Oct. 29, 1954, in Waukegan, Ill., to Loren and Juanita Harris Leffler. He was a retired vocational education teacher, a U. S. Navy veteran and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Christina Leffler; two sons, William S. Leffler of Lemoore, Calif., and Thomas S. Leffler of San Diego; two brothers, Douglas Leffler of Waukegan, Ill., and Charles Leffler of Calumet, Mich.; a sister, Patricia Paquett of Hanahan, S. C.; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Fayetteville. Private burial was held in Fayetteville. Eugene Nottenkamper, 79, of Fayetteville died Friday, May 9, 2008, at his home. Arrangements will be announced by Moore's Chapel. Joseph P. Rideau, 82, of Fayetteville died Friday, May 9, 2008. Arrangements will be announced by Beard's Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.

Prairie Grove

Norman Darryl Shipley, 73, of Prairie Grove died Friday, May 9, 2008. He was born July 13, 1935, in Farmington to Norman Pascal and Viola White Shipley. Survivors include a brother, Jay Shipley of Harrison, and four children. No services are planned. Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove. Annabel Drake Gillmore, 76, of Springdale died Thursday, May 8, 2008.

She was born June 23, 1931, in Fayetteville to O. F. and Peggy Bayley. She was a retired bookkeeper and co-owner of Sally Anne Fabrics. She was a member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Drake.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Gillmore; three sons, Marc Drake of Rockwall, Texas, Zane Drake of Colleyville, Texas, and Kelly Drake of Valrico, Fla.; a daughter, Connie Robertson of St. Charles, Mo.; four stepchildren, Linda Wray, Dinah Fuller and Jeannie Gillmore, all of Springdale, and John Gillmore of Georgia; a sister, Helen Evans of Bentonville; eight grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and 15 step-greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at White Oak Cemetery near the Harmon Community with Zane Drake officiating. Norma V. Hill, 78, of Springdale died Thursday, May 8, 2008. She was born July 14, 1929, in Cave Creek to Andy and Lottie McCutcheon Hill. She had worked for Mitchell Oil Co. and was a member of Holcomb Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Olen Fiveash of Tontitown; a sister, Nell McCutcheon of Centerton; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Friendship Cemetery with Pat Manning officiating.

Summers

Gary Tunnell, 71, of Summers died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 14, 1936, to Jessie Ewell and Hazel Lucille Wilson Tunnell. He served in the Arkansas Army National Guard Artillery Unit in Lincoln and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Tunnell. Survivors include two sons, Fred Toan Jr. of Siloam Springs and James Toan of Summers; two sisters, Glenda Lankford of Fayetteville and Gaylene Jones of Wichita, Kan.; and three granddaughters. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville, Okla.

Rogers

Patricia Bland, 77, of Rogers died Friday, May 9, 2008.

Arrangements will be announced by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Wichita, Kan.

James D. "Jake "Daniels, 81, of Wichita, Kan., died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at his home.

He was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Mulberry, the son of Ira McKinley and Lola Noaze Vanover Daniels. He was an owner and operator for King Van Lines in Wichita for 30 years. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Essie Daniels; a son, Roger Daniels and his wife, Malia, of Goddard, Kan.; two daughters, Deborah Schmidt and her husband, Mike, of Haysville, Kan., and Barbara Taylor and her husband, Mark, of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Melvin Daniels and Ronnie Graham, both of Prairie Grove; four sisters, Georgia Drake and Betty Smith, both of Fayetteville, Eutha Faye McCawley of Killeen, Texas, and Vonna Warner of Springdale; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel with burial in Baptist Ford Cemetery.
