Fayetteville JUDITH POTTS Judith Potts, 66, of Fayetteville died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born July 24, 1941, in Lowell, Mass., to Edward and Marjorie Shaw Jones. She was a homemaker and an artist. Sur vivors include her husband, Richard Potts; two sisters, Christon Potts of Norwalk, Conn., and Steven Potts of Northbrook, Ill.; two sisters, Susan Wright of Phoenixville, Pa., and Dorothy King of Florida; her mother, Marjorie Jones of Newtown Square, Pa.; and a grandchild. Visitation will be from 7: 30-9: 30 p.m. Tuesday at Beard's Chapel. No services are scheduled. Cremation arrangements are with Beard's Funeral Chapel and Crematory of Fayetteville. L. C. SWAFFORD L. C. Swafford, 79, of Fayetteville died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Anderson Flat, the son of Walter and Ethel Still Swafford. He was the retired owner of Swafford's Barber Shop and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He also received the Korean Service Medal with one bronze star, Combat Infantry Badge and United Nations Service Medal.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Henley Swafford; three daughters, Lucreta Hampton and her husband, Ron, of West Fork and Susan Long and her husband, Larry, and Kim Reynolds and her husband, Steven, both of Fayetteville; a brother, Veldon Swafford and his wife, Wanda, of Elm Springs; a sister, Rita Purdey and her husband, Paul, of Harrison; five grandchildren, Devin Long and Breanna Reynolds, both of Fayetteville, Jerome Long and his wife, Sheila, of Dover, and Ashley Hampton and Carey Hampton and his wife, Kristen, both of West Fork; and two great-grandchildren, Keygan Long of Fayetteville and Peyton Hampton of West Fork.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Moore's Chapel.
Service will be at 12: 30 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Pentecostal Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. John Hassell officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

- Paid Summers GARY TUNNELL Gary Tunnell, 71, of Summers died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 14, 1936, to Jessie Ewell and Hazel Lucille Wilson Tunnell. He was a farmer and served in the Arkansas Army National Guard. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Tunnell. Sur vivors include two sons, Fred Toan Jr. of Siloam Springs and James Toan of Summers; two sisters, Glenda Lankford of Fayetteville and Gaylene Jones of Wichita, Kan.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville, Okla. Gentry SYLVIA HILL Sylvia Rhea Hill, 66, of Gentry died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born July 11, 1941, in Athens, Ga., to Robert and Anne Fuller Hill. She worked on the peanut butter line at McKee Foods. She was a U. S. Navy veteran and Baptist. Sur vivors include two brothers, William "Bill "McCranie of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Richard "Rick "McCranie of Siloam Springs. Huntsville MARION HOWARD Marion Alice Howard, 87, of Huntsville died Friday, May 9, 2008, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born July 10, 1920, in LaPorte, Ind., to William and Ethel Mae Whorwell Borders. She was a homemaker and a member of the Huntsville Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of Hayes-Smith Post 137 of the American Legion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Joseph Howard.
Sur vivors include two daughters, Toni Johnson of Huntsville and Anita Pellegrini of Sandwich, Ill.; eight grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.
Private burial will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kingston DIXIE COCHRAN Dixie Elizabeth Cochran, 60, of Kingston died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 17, 1947, in Rogers to Boyd and Ina Benton Harp. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lower Campground United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nita Sue Cochran. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Denver Cochran; a daughter, Rita Cochran; her father, Boyd Harp of Rule; a brother, L. V. Harp of Huntsville; and three sisters, Amy Harp of Carr Lane, Mo., Margie Fort of Rogers and Doris Bumgarner of Huntsville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Lower Campground Church with the Revs. Chad Wilson and Bradley Clark officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bo Bailey, Billy Bowen, Rick Bohannan, Brad Edgmon, Kenny Riley and Jasper Spradling. Arrangements are with Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
