Bella Vista Christian Women's Club The Bella Vista Christian Women's Club monthly meeting and brunch will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Dr., Bella Vista, Oct. 14.
The special feature is a Fashion Fun Style Show and Peanut Butter Drive (bring a jar of peanut butter / can of soup for area food pantries ). Guest speaker is Jan Smith speaking on "Getting in Touch with the Perfect Designer."
The brunch is $ 10 and will be served at 9: 30 a.m.

This meeting is non-denominational and open to the public. Friday Duplicate Bridge Club The Friday Duplicate Bridge Club met Sept. 19 with five tables at play and the following results N / S - Jeannette Johnson and Jean Rosso, first; and Mary Lu Butler and Margaret Otte, second.
E / W - Shirley Johanson and Shirley Galloway, first; and Syvilla Cunningham and Earl Femmer, and Bob Walker and Earl Tobler, tied for second.
The Friday Duplicate Bridge Club met Sept. 26 with five tables at play and the following results N / S - Dorothy Edwardson and Bob Walker, first; and Jeannette Johnson and Maggie Weed, second.

James Bright Chapter, DAR Wanda Bautts, a member of the James Bright Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, after receiving notification that Gov. Mike Beebe had made a proclamation declaring Sept. 17-23 Constitution Week, gave a presentation for fifth graders at Bonnie Grimes Elementary School in Rogers Sept. 17.
Bautts taught the students about the early history of the country, displaying visual symbols as teaching guides. These included the three ships, Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery commanded by Capt. Christopher Newport. There was a picture showing the
Bautts also displayed a picture of Rogers Mayor Steve Womack, who serves as a colonel in military service. NWACC PTK holds coat drive Northwest Arkansas Community College Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is sponsoring a coat drive for residents of northwest Arkansas.
"We will be taking community donations of coats, hats, gloves and scarves," said Stacey Marshall, NWACC vice president for students ambassadors and president of Phi Theta Kappa.
Items will be given out to the community free of charge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 25 at the NWACC Washington County Center in Springdale.
