The Pea Ridge Area Ministerial Alliance will sponsor a Baccalaureate for Pea Ridge graduating seniors. Parents, seniors and pastors are planning and organizing this important event.

U. S. Army Major Brian Easley, a 1995 Pea Ridge High School graduate, a'99 West Point graduate, and recently returned from a 14-month tour of duty in Iraq, will be the featured speaker. Baccalaureate begins at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, in the gym at the high school.

There will also be a video presentation with photos of the students and a personal comment from their parents, as well as a sharing time for several seniors and special music by Rachel Edmundson.

To be able to do all that is planned for the seniors and their families, the group needs help. While the Alliance is funding some of the expense, they are financially unable to underwrite everything. Donations usually come in at about two-thirds of the expenses. With the speaker, the video and gifts, in the past two years the expense has been more then $ 2, 400. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Those who can help sponsor this event, will have their name or the name of their business in the baccalaureate program. All gifts to the Pea Ridge Area Ministerial Alliance to help sponsor this event is a tax-deductible gift. All donors will receive a complete itemized list of the expenses incurred.

Members of the Ministerial Alliance believe this spiritual emphasis is very important to the seniors at this pivotal time in their lives. This can be a special gift from the Pea Ridge community to the seniors and their families.
